Priscilla Berton, PT, BSPTS 
Physiotherapist & Schroth Scoliosis Therapist

Priscilla graduated from the Master of Physical Therapy program at the University of Toronto in 2008.  Prior to completing her Master's program, she completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University where she obtained a certificate in Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counselling and had the opportunity to participate in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft fitness testing. She is also fluent in French and English.

 

Her main interests lay in manual therapy and she has taken several post-graduate courses such as Mulligan treatment techniques, taping and has completed her level 2 manual therapy courses through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).  Priscilla also has a special interest in treating scoliosis, as she has this condition herself, and completed her Schroth BSPTS (Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School) C1 level certification to teach patient's how to manage their condition conservatively (with or without bracing) through curve specific exercises and postural correction/awareness techniques.

 

Priscilla has a very hands on and holistic approach to her physiotherapy practice and believes in involving her patients throughout the rehabilitation process.  Through her own experience with sporting injuries in Judo Martial Arts, she also understands the importance of returning to previous activities/sports in a safe and timely manner and provides her patients with the education and tools necessary to reduce/avoid re-injury in the future.

 

Outside of the clinic, Priscilla enjoys hiking, soccer and other outdoor activities with her family.
