Michelle Teves, M.OMSc

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Michelle is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, with a Masters Diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences. She is a professional member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) and in Good Standing.

Prior to her Osteopathic career, Michelle completed her Bachelor in Physical Education and Health at the University of Toronto. While completing her education she was given the opportunity to work with the Varsity Women’s Rugby and Varsity Men’s Basketball team as their Athletic Therapist. She also volunteered as a Basketball and Soccer Coach for the Special Olympics.

She completed a Graduate Certificate at Humber College where she received a Diploma of Honors in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management. During this time she completed additional courses on therapeutic exercises for MSK and special populations, fitness assessment and exercise prescription.

Michelle grew up in various sports: competing as a gymnast, playing competitive soccer and staying active with other recreational sports such as volleyball and snowboarding. Her love of the healthcare profession began at a young age when she received rehabilitative therapy for her own injuries.

Michelle is a passionate and caring individual with over 7 years of physical therapy experience in both Neurological and Orthopedic conditions. She is a strong believer in the body’s power to heal itself when all things are aligned.
