Michelle Chen, BHSc, Kin, Mphty
Physiotherapist
Michelle graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2010. Her early interest in Physiotherapy stems from her involvement in competitive Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton. Michelle’s treatment style is patient focused and emphasizes hands on soft tissue treatment, corrective exercises and education. Her approach is partly reflective of the mentorship she gained working alongside Sport and NHL Therapists.
She also has experience treating a variety of injuries ranging from orthopaedic, geriatric, pre/post-operative rehab and pelvic related conditions.
Michelle is always trying to learn and improve her skills to ensure her patients receive effective care. She has post graduate training in Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), Pelvic Physiotherapy, Active Release Technique (A.R.T) protocols and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).
Outside of the clinic Michelle enjoys hikes with her dog, traveling and cooking new recipes.
