Austen Forbes, M.OMSc
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
A former professional athlete, Austen uses his experience from sport and his knowledge as a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, with a Masters Diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences, to offer quality therapy.
Before starting his career in Osteopathy, Austen attended McMaster University’s Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour program, competing for the Marauder’s Varsity Cross Country and Track teams. Austen took his athletic career to new heights, representing Canada on the international stage in Triathlon. An Olympic hopeful, Austen’s career was ended abruptly due to injury and has since then dedicated his expertise in endurance sport and his passion for helping others into Osteopathy, where he continues to help people achieve their lifestyle goals.
Throughout his personal career in sport and working through injury, these experiences have driven Austen’s pursuit to help his clients perform healthy and at their best. He is motivated in his profession to make a positive difference in sport through expert treatment, education and prevention, while helping others continue in their chosen activity.
Austen has a passion for helping anyone reach their potential and live their best lives. He has had the privilege to partner with many communities and teams to find ways to solve everyday problems that make leading a happy life so hard. He continually applies this philosophy when working with any individual.
